Dear Readers—

We can keep this secret no longer...

We are thrilled to announce that issue 55 of Fugue will be shipping out 10/29—and will contain 4 lost poems and an essay by Anne Sexton!

This work originally appeared in The Christian Science Monitor in the late 1950s prior to the release of Sexton's debut collection, To Bedlam and Part Way Back (1960, Houghton Mifflin), and was never seen again—until now.

With endless thanks to Drs. Erin C. Singer and Zachary Turpin for the find, and to Linda Gray Sexton for her graces and collaboration, Fugue is deeply honored and beyond excited to republish this work in the upcoming issue.

And if that's not enough, Fugue 55 also features fantastic new work by: Andrew Grace, Henrietta Goodman, Maggie Queeney, Zachary Schomburg (who also illustrated the gorgeous cover art), Campbell McGrath, Jake Maynard, Allison Field Bell, Ernesto L. Abeytia, Brit Barnhouse, Anne Foster, Anna Majeski, Kristine Langley Maher, Dana Alsamsam, Seth Simons, Daniel Sutter, R. Cassandra Bruner, Bridget O’Bernstein, Holli Carrell, Zinnia Smith, Kevin Callaway, Nicole Connolly, Allison Field Bell, Tanya Grae, Gilad Jaffe, Jessica Morey-Collins, and Tim Fitts.

We can't wait for you to read this issue! In the meantime, head over to The Houston Chronicle to read more about the featured Anne Sexton poems and their rediscovery.

Oh—andpre-order your copy today!
