Flight of Writers

This is April 26th, 2013 Fugue will be hosting Flight of Writers in our hometown, Moscow, ID. Flight of Writers is an event that pairs great wine with some of the region’s most celebrated writers. Here’s how it works: before the event, an esteemed judge is given writing samples. The judge then pairs each sample with a wine that best compliments it, taking into consideration the “flavors” in both the wine and the writing. The best part? The night of the event, the writers will read their work as the audience samples the wine each writer has been paired with. It’s a night of good taste, for both the ear and the tongue. Kim Barnes, Sam Ligon, and Daniel Orozco will be reading prose, and Ron McFarland and Alexandra Teague will be reading poetry.
